2002 is an important year for Sweeney Racing as we become a two-driver team again with Gavin Sweeney, younger brother of Ian, hitting the track. The last time two Sweeney's competed together was in 1997 when Ian and his father Sean competed in the Irish Fiat Championship

Gavin, pictured, was assistant race engineer on the Race Team up until last year. This year he will take part in select events in Northern America. A decision as to what engine and chassis he will run with has yet to be made.

For the 2002 season Gavin will have backing from loyal Sweeney Racing sponsors ,Tracey Commercials and SWEENdesign Web Development.
